About Mr Malahias
Mr Marco Malahias is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon with over 20 years of surgical experience. He is a substantive Consultant at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust and is listed on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery.
Mr Malahias has extensive expertise in both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, with specialist interests in breast surgery, body contouring and facial rejuvenation. Throughout his career, he has performed and contributed to thousands of surgical procedures, helping patients achieve both functional and aesthetic improvements through safe, evidence-based treatment.
After graduating with Honours from Cairo University Medical School, Mr Malahias completed his higher surgical training in the United Kingdom. He became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS) before undertaking advanced specialist training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He subsequently achieved certification from the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS), one of the highest professional qualifications available to plastic surgeons in Europe.
Alongside his NHS consultant role, Mr Malahias has developed a strong interest in aesthetic surgery and regenerative medicine. He has completed advanced training in facial aesthetics, rhinoplasty, breast surgery and body contouring. His commitment to continuous professional development ensures patients benefit from the latest surgical techniques and innovations.
Mr Malahias is also actively involved in research, teaching and surgical education. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters within plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery and regularly presents at national and international meetings. His academic work reflects his dedication to advancing patient care and maintaining the highest standards within the specialty.
