I am a huge gym girl and weight training is my lifestyle. Another thing I was super worried about was having time off training and allowing my body to recover as it’s so important.

I know the thought of having 8/12 weeks off training is daunting but remember your body is healing, and pushing too hard too soon can lead to setbacks. Focus on small steps each day, and soon enough, you’ll be back to full strength.

Abby’s Advice To You

Abby’s Tips for preparing for surgery physically & her recovery

Taking time away from training. Doing less steps and less cardio spec in the first 3/4 weeks will not cause any harm and if anything will do your body a world of good.

Before my op I had in my head that I’d be doing 10k steps a week after surgery but it didn’t go to plan because my body said no 🤣.. so I just listened to and and guess what? I didn’t get “fat” or loose all my progress.

The only thing I made sure was on point was my nutrition. This went hand in hand with helping my body heal too!

No I didn’t cut my calories really low and I also didn’t restrict. I also made sure before my op I was in and good place and had leaned out more.

It’s hard spec when you get to week 6 and all you want to do is train. But i promise you you will get back at it and have the body you wish for! Just be kind to yourself and patient… you got new boobs!
